WHO WE ARE

We are a family-run business with its headquarters and its roots on a plateau east of the Adige Valley, in Trentino. Berryplant’s thirty-year experience in the propagation of Rubus was born in the Alta Valsugana district, traditionally dedicated to the cultivation of soft fruits.

The increasing need of specialized growers to have valid plant material pushes us to put the concept of product
QUALITY at the center of our vision.

Berryplant’s peculiarities are the constant improvement of its own PRODUCTION CHAIN and the commitment to VARIETAL INNOVATION.

Our varietal improvement and innovation program aims to select new varieties which could expand our commercial range. We also aspire to increase our customer satisfaction, in terms of cost reduction, and offer higher production benefits.

30 years experience

Our professionalism is the result of the experience gained over many years of commitment, passion and research in Rubus propagation. Since the mid-80s we have brought about technical and production improvements which continue even today.

Experience translates into a deep knowledge of the blackberry and raspberry plants market as well as into the needs of a highly specialized clientele.

Care for the plants’ health

Berryplant’s decisions are aimed to offer our plants the best conditions to grow, with great care to production processes, from growth, to conservation, to transport.

A well-developed plant guarantees greater success in the cultivation, progress and production results of the grower.

We test and select the best varieties, either free or licensed, to be proposed in our catalog along with our patented cultivars.

ENVIROMENT & NATURE

Berryplant has always aimed to module plants production with a special commitment to respect for the environment, its conservation and the use of renewable energies. We feel privileged to live and work in a wonderful territory like Trentino: our greenhouses are located among woods, meadows and lakes, nestled in the beautiful Brenta Dolomites, UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Since 2012 we have a photovoltaic system that produces electricity for our offices and greenhouses at our headquarters in Baselga di Pinè. Moreover, since 2015 the greenhouses have been heated with a new biomass boiler, which contributes to a further reduction of the already small "environmental footprint" of the plants we produce.
